Hip Transformer
Hip Transformer is a concept hip luxation orthosis that is aimed to correct Developmental Hip Dysplasia in children. During this project in our master's, I was involved in brainstorming ideas to improve design and I was in charge of creating the animations.
Designing a hip luxation orthosis was a collaborative project with TeamOlmed. The requirement for this project was to design an orthosis that can be adjusted in flexion/extension and in abduction/adduction while maintaining the rigidity of the orthosis, which the current orthosis was not capable of.
The final product was a result of combining vacuum molding, metal works and sewing.
